When I saw this little digi image of this mechanic guy on Birdie Brown’s blog I just KNEW I had to use it for this years Father’s Day Card for the hubs. (pop over ::here:: to download him for free) I mean is he cute or what! Anywho since Hubs is a car nut I thought this card would be perfect. The car image is from a font set I found called wmtransport1 that you can find free :: HERE :: I loaded it into my Silhouette Software, took it apart and made the card base out of it. Then I cut the smaller parts out with different colors of card stock including this COOL metal looking chrome paper I got from Target a hundred years ago. Makes perfect chrome accents. I popped up on foam squares a few of the parts to make it more 3d. The little mechanic dude is paper pieced using a ton of different layers of paper. A DCWV jean paper, a basic grey white lined paper, some misc grey paper for the wrench and some red card stock for the tool box. Glossy accents for the glasses and a gold pen for the “button” accents on his cover-all’s.
So just have to wrap up a few goodies I found for him and Father’s Day is ready to go!
Thanks for peeking!
Have a wonderful day!
Sorry not much crafting going on these days. I am terrible at crafting in the warm weather months. Its either to cool to craft ( ie so I need to be out in the yard working before it gets HOT) or its to hot to craft so I veg, read books and wait till evening gets here to cool back off to go back outside lol. In between that and going here there and everywhere this year just not much crafting getting done lol I am getting lots of blogging done about life but not on this web site ( obviously lol ). We are just on the go go go these days so more to post about family/life/getting stronger stuff than crafting stuff so will be probably slow around here other than me keeping up with my Life As Its Happening book.
And on that note here are a couple more pages I got done.
First one is of Joshua and I putting together paper air planes from a file I purchased at the Silhouette Store. Was a super cool air plane. Went together great and the 3 of us enjoyed an evening of fun, food and movies while doing it.
Next one is of a our trip down to see Chief Plenty Coup State Park. Didn’t realize it was so close to home. Was about a 3 hour round trip. Nice, relaxing and still left us enough time to get home to get some work done on our darn sprinkler system. (working now WHEW no more hose hauling).
So that’s about all that. Spent 3 days with out my iMac last week (yes its only 8 months old *swear words go here*) and learned something.. I never EVER EVERRRR want to be with out my computer again lol. Sure I have other ways to connect to the internet but its not the same. But all fixed up now ( thank you smart moment of purchasing extended warranty) and back to working fab ( hugs it close).
Oh and have to share and adorable freebie that Saturated Canary posted. SUPER cute pop over :: HERE :: to download it free. Love her stuff. I cant color worth a toot but still love to TRY while using her stuff lol
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
Hi my name is Felicia and I am a half ass’d project finisher!
SO over the weekend I am cleaning up and dusting and stuff ( weather was AWESOME! ) and started pile together projects I needed to get finished up. SERIOUSLY! I HAVE HALF ASS’d DONE ISSUES!
Check this pile! out that I ended up with!
*shakes head in disgust!*
And that doesn’t even count the minis I have “finished” but NEVER got photos in! UGGGG!! Nor does it show all the pages I have started in my Life As Its Happening book that are just all stuffed into it! Really! Commitment issues much? HAHHAHA
SO what do you have Half way done? Show/Tell me about your pile so I don’t feel so bad about mine!
Have a wonderful week!
I cant be the only person that does this! Right? I mean right????
The store is running REALLLLLLLY slow but signed in today to find all the files on the Silhouette Online Store to be 50% off. Just thought I would share =0)
